IGN's Low Starfield Score Caused By Ignored Birthday Invite

The overall Metacritic score for Starfield has received an unexpected knockback from well known gaming journalism juggernaut IGN. Dan Stapleton who reviewed and scored Fallout 4 a whopping 9.5 back in November of 2015 has scored Starfield a 7. Stapleton who in the past has swooned for Bethesda titles leaves others in the business wondering what the issue may be as Starfield is Skyrim, but in space. Every little Bethesda fans dream come true.

Stapleton’s mother (ma) has written on Stapleton’s Facebook Wall on several embarrassing occasions, mistaking it for a place to privately message him.

One account from as far back as 2017 pulls the curtain back on undeniable fractures in the reviewer’s infatuation with Howard. Stapleton’s ma wrote on her son’s wall in March 2017.

“Danny this is your ma, you need to come out of your room. I know you’re upset that Todd Howard ignored your birthday party sleepover invitation but I need you to come out and help me with my iPad, it won’t turn on again.”

Ignoring a birthday invitation has sparked discussions in the videogame reviewing community that personal hurts should not bias a scoring decision. Further evidence came forward highlighting Stapleton’s peeved mood toward Howard. Again, his ma allows the world to see into the situation.

“Danny this is your ma messaging, why are you so upset about Todd Howard doing the handshake fake out at you in front of Phil Spencer? You said you didn’t like him anymore anyway. Your pa told me you were upset so I made you some Tuna Bake. It’s in the fridge next to my anti-fungal cream. Love ma.”
