The Men's Shed, a great place for lonely old blokes to get out of the house and build letterboxes and dog kennels. Or stand around and watch other guys do all the work which is probably what they were used to doing before retiring. It's like a retirement club and the boys are here to save the day, one letterbox at a time! Either way the Men's Shed is a hive of constructive activity with harmeless old guys who are still continent.
Long time attendee of the Dimmage Men's Shed, Ted, was hard to keep on task due to getting bored of all the menial projects he was allotted. He became a little enthusiastic one day and decided to start on his own secret project while everyone else was busy making their own door stops to give as gifts to those less fortunate in the community. With a hammer, a packet of nails, some timber, a tube of craft glue and a heck of alot of imagination Ted got to work to see what he could create!
The day grew late and his morning cup of tea was half drunk and very cold, yet Ted tinkered away with his weathered hands of brilliance as his old retired truck drivers mind went into overdrive. Everyone started to pack away their tools and Glenn Planker came up to Ted to show off the handful of doorstops he made when his jaw dropped. Everyone gathered around Ted as his craft corner was illuminated by an otherworldly glow. Before Ted stood a portal to another dimension! That old bugger wasn't wasting any time today! Ted wiped away the sweat from his brow and said,
"Well that's enough for today, I better get home."
