Nintendo Inspired by Toy Story 2 When Naming Their New Console

Nick

Western influence creeps in everywhere doesn't it? Now the Japanese have caught onto the western naming convention craze that involves slapping a number on the end of the original name to define it as the next edition. Simple. Yet some simple lessons take time to learn. Like swallowing a drink without choking and splurting it everywhere, drinking is simple till we do that and it’s like we still haven't learnt how to do it properly. Profound I know! Nintendo sent advisers into the Wild West to gain insight into the meaning of putting a number after the title. They were surprised at the number of franchises that use the numbering sequence, one such series that caught there attention was Toy Story. They learnt that by simply adding 2 onto the next movie people would know it was the next one, that it is new and completely different. The advisers came away knowing that it could be a smarter move in future releases to employ this convention rather than using obscure names such as Wii-U. They came back from their research trip and put the old ideas through the paper shredder. Miyamoto has a fascination with toilet humour so the Super Switch Poo-Poo Wii-Wee was the first to go, following its course into shredded paper heaven was The Nintendo Swish which the plan was to advertise it with a person that had a heavy lisp. With those ideas behind them the future looks bright for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Here's the new episode.
